About The Position

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician / Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Normal, IL. $5000.00 Sign on Bonus You will make an impact in the following ways: Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products Maintain own tools Responsibilities In order to be successful in this role you will need the following: Completes complex internal engine repairs Internal engine repair experience. Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software Compensation and Benefits: Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred), Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution, Locally valid driving permit (Preferred), This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Intermediate level knowledge, Internal Engine Repair; Cummins experience Preferred. Qualifications Cummins experience preferred. Trade school or equivalent to position. - A CDL may be required to obtain upon hire - Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older - A current valid license is required for this role - Must be 18 years old with 2 years driving experience - This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
