What You’ll Do: Level A Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians create repair plans and fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts that are replaced and for turning in parts with core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their Foreman daily and must maintain toolboxes organized and workstations clean and safe. Level A Technicians perform tasks and possess skills noted below and have efficiency ratings of 100% or above. Job Duties: Works on mechanical engines Performs tune-ups Repairs major engine oil leaks Conducts drivetrain repairs Performs work on fuels systems (pump and injectors) Works on anti-lock brakes Performs work on fuel systems (tank to pump) Works on front end alignments Performs gear train repairs Performs general troubleshooting Works on steering system diagnostics and repairs Performs transmission synchronizer diagnostics and replacement Performs advanced cab and chassis electrical repairs

Requirements

  • Technician with at least three to four years’ experience
  • Completes the online courses required
  • Performs at 100% efficiency or better
  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Freightliner Heavy Duty Trucks Systems
  • Freightliner Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Specialist Certification
  • Professional Certification
  • Freightliner Electronic Systems Specialist Certification
  • Class B CDL
  • ASE Test Passed
