The Diesel Mechanic will be working on a variety of company owned heavy trucks and trailers ranging from OTR sleepers to Live Bottom Trailers, including troubleshooting and repair: electronic, fuel, ignition, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. While the mechanic will be working mostly independently, all mechanics are expected to be able to work within a team environment to accomplish major projects efficiently and effectively. In this Diesel Mechanic role, you will: Diagnose and repair a fleet of Class 8 semi-trucks and trailers, including Freightliner, Western Star, and some International models. Our powertrains include Detroit 60 Series, DD15, DD16, and Cummins X15. Work with DT12 and Eaton automatic transmissions, as well as manual 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions. Perform routine maintenance and DOT inspections. Use diagnostic tools and software such as DiagnosticLink, Cummins Insite, Wabco, Bendix, Navistar, and Edith. Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with team members.
