About The Position
This position is for a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, welcoming both seasoned professionals and those just starting their careers. Joining the Swift Team means being supported by experienced Diesel Technicians, Leaders, and Trainers. Swift is a large fleet with over 13,000 trucks, 60,000 trailers, 12,000 company drivers, and over 700 Fleet Technicians. Requirements
- Valid Drivers License
- Comprehensive Background Check
- Pre-employment Hair drug screening
Responsibilities
- Complete a quality preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on all company owned equipment, to include tractors, trailers, refrigerated units and support equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to appropriate specifications (OEM, DOT, Swift, etc.)
- Inspect, analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose and perform minor and/or complex repairs for all equipment.
- Disassemble, repair and re-assemble of Heavy Truck & Trailer components.
- Perform tire maintenance to include: repairs, failure analysis, coding, identification.
