About The Position

Amhof Trucking is a family owned and operated carrier in Eldridge, Iowa that was established in 1975. We employ experienced and entry level diesel technicians and mechanics who perform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, aftertreatment, brakes, electrical systems & tires. They also perform DOT inspections and make sure to follow shop procedures. Current openings for First & Second shift: Medium and heavy-duty truck and trailer technicians and mechanics. Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a technician/mechanic, with the ability to display knowledge of the diagnosis and proper repair of diesel and gas engines, air brake systems and electrical systems. Candidates should also have a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and effective customer service skills.

Requirements

• Driver's License (Required)
• Must have own tools
• Auto, diesel or heavy equipment repair: 1 year (Preferred). Or a degree from a trade school diesel or automotive program.
• Willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, aftertreatment, brakes, electrical systems & tires.
• Perform DOT inspections
• Follow shop procedures
