This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a vast inventory of heavy construction equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the aptitude to develop their area of expertise in the civil utilities industry. Typical schedules are Monday Friday, with weekends required as needed. Incumbent is expected to have excellent attendance and communication skills, possess the ability to build lasting business relationships, and exhibit professionalism. Must possess practical skills and proficient knowledge to diagnose, repair and maintain a vast inventory of construction equipment Repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, diesel equipment, including (but not limited to) trucks, tractors, and cranes Perform equipment maintenance at the facility, as well as jobsites Troubleshoot equipment problems including (but not limited to) mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components Must exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety Must be able to work independently and deal with changing priorities Must be able to travel in company-owned RAC vehicles, sometimes on short notice, to and from assigned job locations. Valid drivers license required Frequency of activities is determined daily according to job site requirements.
