As we continue to grow and expand, Blaine Brothers Baldwin, WI has an opening for a technician (preferred 1-2 years experience) in our Diesel Truck and Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone detail oriented, with a strong mechanical aptitude, and strong work ethic. The job handles the complete repair and maintenance of semi-trailers and heavy-duty trucks. Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of internal engine experience
Great work ethic
Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
Attention to detail
Mechanical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience or technical training
Clean driving record
Basic tool set and tool box for heavy truck repair to start (assistance programs available)
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient, and friendly work environment
Honesty and respect

Nice To Haves

Welding experience (a plus)
DOT certification (a plus)

Responsibilities

Perform repair on diesel trucks
Diagnose, troubleshoot, disassemble vehicles and examine parts for defects and excessive wear
Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; make adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units
Inspect the overall condition of trucks to ensure that they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements
Compile inspection reports detailing their findings
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements
Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
