Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, engines, peripheral engine systems, and all their working parts
  • Have strong analytical skills and adept in quick, critical thinking
  • Have familiarity with technology
  • Successfully finished the specified courses or their equivalents and provide evidence of completion: Basic Engines Hydraulics Electrical Systems Diesel Technology Transmissions & Final Drives

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure safety standards are being followed
  • Perform a full range of duties relating to repair, replacement of parts, mechanical adjustment, overhaul, and installation of mobile production machinery and equipment which includes but not limited to heavy mobile equipment: wheel loaders, excavators, dump trucks, lift trucks, man lifts, crushers, and conveyors
  • Conduct essential repairs, replacements, and installations of air and fluid hydraulic units in plant mobile equipment. Also, undertake necessary repairs and replacements of air and coolant units and systems, especially when integral to a specific process
  • Must possess the capability to read and interpret essential prints, sketches, mechanical layouts, blueprints, and equipment diagrams. Additionally, should demonstrate the ability to plan or assist in planning and organizing repair or installation tasks within the scope of the position
