Job Description: Understands and supports AAM's safety programs. Provides support to manufacturing by participating in problem solving and continuous improvement projects to improve quality and reduce scrap. May initiate quality alerts to communicate changes in control plans, process instructions, or acceptance standards. Functional understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) Coordinates prototype, tool layout, and PPAP activities, and ensures customer requirements are secure. Processes FMEA, in conjunction with the Engineering Control Plans/Reaction Plans, Process Sheets, Work Instructions, Standardized Work, and JSA’s to ensure quality. Monitors on-going product quality and processing by maintaining daily contact with manufacturing. Thorough understanding of the following: Press functions (set up, operation, maintenance, etc.). Mix changes, cleaning, cut ups and weight adjustments. Internal/external customer Start up, shut down, monitors and adjusts delube process according to Control Plan. Provides support and training to facilitate a safe manufacturing environment. Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5+ years experience preferred but not required.
