About The Position

Setup Class C, B and A type parts within the QAD standard. Responsible for the safe setup and operation of equipment. Keep work area clean and organized

Requirements

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects
  • Basic blueprint reading
  • 2 years die setting experience
  • Ability to setup Class C,B and A type parts with no assistance inall presses, Gasbarre, Cinci or Elmco presses , including Multi level presses
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • When required in specific areas. This includes, but is not limited to safety glasses, with side shields, hearing protection, and gloves.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily mold/sizing record
  • Follow instructions
  • Follow all established safety regulations and procedures
  • Follow all instructions listed on PCPs and setup info sheets
  • Adjust presses when needed
  • Ensure all press safeties are properly set
  • Setup Class C,B & A type parts
  • Keep area clean and organized and put items back where they belong (bolts,backer blocks, rings and collets,etc)
  • Work with Supervisor and Trainer to train to move to the next level of Diesetting (if not already completed)
  • Accurately fill out the Daily Production log
  • Participates in ongoing training and continuous improvement activities
  • Participates in Tool breakage investigation process
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Ensure that parts are holding size,wt and density and that all dimensions are in the “center” of the Molding Spec before taking part in to Quality Inspector for initial setup check in
  • Operate Compaction presses when needed
  • Correctly perform the following activities
  • Must be able to read and interpret a PCP
  • Verification and use of Micrometers and indicators
  • Basic knowledge in crack detection and prevention
  • Communicate with Associates on other shifts
  • Must possess trouble shooting skills
