About The Position

The Diemaker is a craft position responsible for creating cutting dies by hand, utilizing wood, steel rule knife, and rubber, with the aid of industry-specific automated equipment designed for cutting die production. The Diemaker is expected to embody Container Graphics' CS1 mindset and consistently represent the company in a positive and energetic manner. This role reports directly to the Production Manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Basic knowledge of math fundamentals, including but not limited to fractions, decimals, and basic geometry
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and caliper
• Good hand/eye coordination
• Basic knowledge of computer platforms
• Good verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of how to operate hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Perform one or more of the following job assignments for the construction of flat and rotary cutting dies: Layout, Sawing, Ruling, Rubbering
• Follow all CGC corporate safety program requirements
• Understand and participate in quality checks as required
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping in work area
• Read CAD files to accurately assemble custom tools
• Use manual and automated equipment to form materials needed to build cutting dies
• Assemble cutting dies by hand
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
