Key Responsibilities: Develop and revise 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software (NX Unigraphics preferred; AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo also considered). Convert 2D sketches or hand drawings into accurate 3D models. Ensure all models and drawings meet current production standards and maintain attention to detail. Apply basic knowledge of drafting principles, GD&T, and dimensional tolerancing. Interpret and work from mechanical drawings and specifications. Perform modeling simulations using Finite Element Methods (Q-Form preferred; De-Form, Transvalor also considered). Conduct engineering analyses to support design using CAD/FEA tools. Prepare and summarize results into technical reports and presentations. Generate quotes for potential new product introductions (including design criteria and tooling costs). Review drawings for completeness and accuracy; maintain revision control and technical documentation. Organize and manage CAD files and project-related information. Ensure projects are completed within budget and schedule. Utilize measuring instruments such as scales and calipers for verification. Demonstrate familiarity with metal behavior and material properties. Perform other duties as assigned.
