About The Position
This position is responsible for the operation of one or more automatic multiple-mold casting machines to mold aluminum automotive parts.
Requirements
- Ability to work varying shifts and overtime.
- Ability to read and write the English language.
- Withstand extreme temperatures (hot in summer, cold in winter).
- Must be able to move about in and around machinery and between lines.
Responsibilities
- Operate one or more casting machines
- Set controls, make machine adjustments, and align mold halves to ensure casting of part according to specified thickness
- Adjust follow of lead to ladles and water to mold-cooling sprays.
- Assist or perform machine set ups and tool changes.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance checks.
- Assist in changing or setting molds.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Frequently moves/lifts up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift.
- Constantly position self to run/maintain die cast machinery (stooping, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling).
- Maintain 5S of multiple die cast machines.
- Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn in proper manner at all times.
