About The Position

Prescott Newspapers, Inc., is a trusted community newspaper serving Prescott Valley and the surrounding areas. We are currently seeking an experienced Didde Press Operator to join our Prescott Valley Print Facility team. This is a full-time, day or night shift position and plays a critical role in pressroom production.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders up to 25 feet
Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
Ability to work night shift

Nice To Haves

Experience with Goss Community Press equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform make-ready and operate the Didde press to print inserts, periodical covers, and specialty print jobs according to written specifications
Monitor press operation and maintain consistent print quality; determine acceptable vs. unacceptable output while the press is running
Perform all operational duties necessary to achieve desired production results
Assist pressroom personnel in all phases of daily production
Maintain press and related equipment through preventative maintenance practices
Works toward newsprint and high gloss waste standards and waste reduction programs
Assist in other press and production areas as needed
Operate forklift, clamp truck, and pallet jack (must be certifiable)
Participates in company safety policies and procedures.
