About The Position
Job Summary Reporting to the Section Leader, Mammography/Sonography, utilizes high frequency sound waves and other diagnostic techniques for medical diagnosis. Produces and evaluates ultrasound images and related data.
Requirements
- Graduate of an educational program that meets eligibility for ARDMS registry
- Previous experience as a sonographer strongly preferred
- Current registration with ARDMS; or ARDMS-eligible with ARDMS achieved within 1 year of hire
- BLS healthcare provider required
- Ultrasound scanning skills in vascular, OBGYN, abdominal and small parts required
- Must be able to understand oral and written medical/radiological/sonographic terminology
- Must have comprehension of cross-sectional anatomy and correlation with anatomical structures
- Must be able to identify pathological processes
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English required
- Computer skills required
- Ability to maintain confidential information
