About The Position

Diagnostic Imaging Assistant at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon Part-Time/Evening Shift The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS). The Diagnostic Imaging Support Specialist is responsible for all applicable software, and interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients. The position requires extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills. Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable. Requirements

• Coursework/Training and Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year of Clerical or Customer Service experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree In the medical field. Or equivalent educ/experience
• 1 year medical and/or clerical experience, or A successful completion of a Providence Internship.
• Coursework/Training College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy. Or knowledge obtained through work experience.
• Diagnostic Imaging experience.
• Electronic Medical Records System experience.
