We are looking to hire a Diabetes Educator in MercyOne Genesis Bettendorf Endocrinology Care As a Diabetes Educator at MercyOne, you will Assesses patients admitted to the Diabetes Care Center and devises individualized educational plan. Implements educational plan and participates in both individual and group educational sessions. Assists in planning, implementing and evaluating the Diabetes Self-Management Schedule: Full time 40 hours 8-5 No weekend or Holidays General Requirements: Supervisory Responsibility: No Supervision: The job does not require the provision of guidance or supervision to others. There is no formal responsibility for directing others. Materials Responsibility: Very Limited. Work requires very limited responsibility for material resources. Examples of resources could include personal work materials, supplies or equipment, or very small amounts of cash. The employee has a very limited or indirect amount of control over these resources. Although human error might require the repair or replacement of materials, usually the cost of correcting these errors is minor. The variety and volume of resources is also very limited. Problems associated with material resources are very uncomplicated. Key Relationships Co-workers/Health System Employees, General Public/Visitors/Volunteers, Physicians/Medical Office Staff, Students/Interns/Residents/Outside Instructors, Patients, Families, and Significant Others, Vendors/Clients Education: Education: Bachelor's Degree Field OF Study: Nursing or Health Care Administration; Dietetics Special Training: CDE within 2 years; Basic Life Support. Licensures/Registration Registered Nurse in Iowa or Illinois required upon hire. Second state license required in 6 Experience: More than 2 years experience required. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Field OF Study: Nursing or Health Care Administration; Dietetics
• CDE within 2 years
• Basic Life Support
• Registered Nurse in Iowa or Illinois required upon hire.
• Second state license required in 6
• More than 2 years experience required.
