About The Position
Responsible for guiding the education for patients of all ages with Diabetes and their family members on an outpatient basis. Functions as a Diabetes Educator cross-trained in the instruction of all aspects of diabetes.
Requirements
- Require current RN Florida licensure or RD with Florida licensure.
- Require Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE); or CDE eligible to sit for the exam when eligible; or obtains a minimum of 15 hours continuing education in Diabetes specific, diabetes related, psychosocial, educational, or program management topics each year.
- Require minimum of one (1) year of teaching or clinical experience.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer academic preparation and/or experience in the care of patients with chronic disease and program management.
