About The Position

Milliken’s Dewey Plant in Inman, SC is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Contractor Coordinator to support safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. This role coordinates facilities, utilities, and contractor work while leading outage planning, supporting safety initiatives, and maintaining accurate CMMS data. The position partners closely with operations, maintenance, and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to Milliken standards. This role reports to the ESD Leader and works 1st shift, Monday–Friday.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in facilities, maintenance, utilities, or industrial/manufacturing environments
  • Working knowledge of boilers, compressed air, HVAC, and fire protection systems
  • Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Knowledge of OSHA 30–level safety and construction safety practices
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification in maintenance, construction, or safety
  • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and building/electrical codes
  • Experience supporting chemical or process equipment
  • Experience with or certification in Process Safety Management (PSM)

Responsibilities

  • Support OSHA VPP Star Certification and corporate S.A.F.E. audit requirements
  • Enforce Milliken safety policies and participate on plant safety teams
  • Conduct contractor safety orientations, audits, and tool inspections
  • Perform routine facility and grounds safety inspections
  • Review CMMS backlog and prioritize work for assigned areas
  • Lead outage planning including scope, timelines, and resource coordination
  • Coordinate permits and approvals with operations before work execution
  • Audit completed work for quality, safety, and housekeeping standards
  • Coordinate inspections and repairs for buildings, grounds, and site infrastructure
  • Oversee utilities including boilers, compressed air systems, HVAC, and fire protection systems
  • Ensure required inspections, testing, and regulatory documentation
  • Develop scopes of work, obtain quotes, and schedule contractor activities
  • Verify contractor qualifications, insurance, and safety compliance
  • Oversee contractor work to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence
  • Maintain contractor documentation in the Milliken Document System (MDS)
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance
  • Update the Maintelligence CMMS with timely and accurate information
  • Track spare parts inventory and support reordering as needed
