About The Position

This opportunity is for a Platform Engineer to join Booz Allen and support the United States Air Force. The role involves leveraging Platform Engineering expertise in a high-impact capacity, operating a secure, reliable, and highly available Cloud, Managed Hosting, and Developer Platform. The engineer will translate business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions, working with Security and Compliance teams and other Platform Engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams. Key areas of expertise include DoW impact levels and classifications, AWS cloud, Cloud and Network Security, Containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently while leading others, and collaboration across development teams in a fast-paced and agile environment.

Requirements

6+ years of experience with DevOps for Containerized or Kubernetes production systems
5+ years of experience with CI / CD and developer workflow automation
5+ years of experience with IaC, including Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible
5+ years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling
4+ years of experience with Cloud or Network Security architecture
Experience with DoW, including within cloud architecture, cluster management, security, or networking
Experience with vulnerability management, dynamic and static code analysis, and hardened AMIs and Container Images
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Ability to obtain a DoW 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date

Nice To Haves

Experience promoting solutions into higher classification environments
Experience working with or developing Special Access Programs (SAP) mission workloads
Experience working with FENCES and Keycloak
Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh
Experience with Cloud Native servers, Kubernetes platforms, and container registries
Experience in multiple cloud service providers (CSP)
Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server operating systems
TS/SCI clearance
Associate level cloud Certification
