About The Position

This opportunity is for a Platform Engineer to support the United States Air Force, leveraging Platform Engineering expertise in a high-impact role. The successful candidate will operate a secure, reliable, and highly available Cloud, Managed Hosting, and Developer Platform. The role involves translating business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions and collaborating with Security and Compliance teams and Platform Engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation for a dynamic platform-as-a-service. Expertise in DoW impact levels and classifications, AWS cloud, Cloud and Network Security, Containers and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is essential. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently while leading others, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-paced and agile environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience with DevOps for Containerized or Kubernetes production systems
  • 5+ years of experience with CI/CD and developer workflow automation
  • 5+ years of experience with IaC, including Terraform, Terragrunt, or Ansible
  • 5+ years of experience with Kubernetes Deployment and GitOps tooling
  • 4+ years of experience with Cloud or Network Security architecture
  • Experience with DoW, including within cloud architecture, cluster management, security, or networking
  • Experience with vulnerability management, dynamic and static code analysis, and hardened AMIs and Container Images
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to obtain a DoW 8570 IAT II Certification within 60 days of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience promoting solutions into higher classification environments
  • Experience working with or developing Special Access Programs (SAP) mission workloads
  • Experience working with FENCES and Keycloak
  • Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh
  • Experience with Cloud Native servers, Kubernetes platforms, and container registries
  • Experience in multiple cloud service providers (CSP)
  • Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, or Windows Server operating systems
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Associate level cloud Certification
