Each intern manager will provide intentional learning objective goals and assign real-life projects to own and drive during the summer SUPPORT: Each intern will be paired up with a mentor who will provide guidance, support, and insight into The PB Way! PAY: The wage range for this position is $21 to $25 per hour, with the actual pay dependent on your, education level, skills and experience as they relate to the job requirements. JOB OFFERS: The intern program may only last 10-weeks, June 1st - August 7th, but we don’t want the experience to end there. Our top interns are often offered extended internships or future job opportunities at Pitney Bowes This internship is ONSITE in Shelton, CT. Candidates must be able to work in person for the full 10‑week program. Join a high‑impact engineering team responsible for maintaining a highly secure AWS GovCloud SaaS platform. You’ll work across DevOps, security compliance, and security tooling while learning how real enterprise cloud environments stay compliant, resilient, and always available.

Requirements

  • You are a junior or senior undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Enthusiasm for DevOps, security compliance, and security tooling.
  • A constant‑learner mindset and willingness to work across a broad set of security tools.
  • Self‑motivation, teamwork, and a passion for designing and deploying zero‑downtime, highly available AWS infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity and uptime of Tenable Nessus, Qualys, Acunetix, Trend Micro, Splunk, and Jira, including managing remediations when needed.
  • Manage users through OKTA IDP and AWS Active Directory.
  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly security vulnerability reports and remediate OS vulnerabilities within defined SLAs.
  • Update reporting across the full security tool suite.
  • Maintain SOC‑2, ISO 278001, FedRAMP, and DISA IL‑4 certified solutions by remediating vulnerabilities at the firewall, infrastructure, OS, and container levels.
  • Work cross‑functionally across teams and time zones to ensure compliance objectives are met.
  • Lead or participate in security audits such as SOC‑2, ISO‑27001, FedRAMP, DISA IL‑4, and CMMC2.
  • Develop Terraform scripts to automate DISA STIG‑hardened images and security automation across environments.
  • Support, administer, and scale AWS production environments.
