About The Position

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer for our Chicago Office. You would work with our team to run the day-to-day operations of our trading system. The expectation is that you would develop tools and processes responsible for improving, building, deploying, managing and monitoring a 23/6 high-frequency trading system.

Requirements

• Good troubleshooting skills and the ability to find the root cause of an issue
• Interest in understanding how and why things work, and how to make them better
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
• Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and within a team
• Detail oriented
• Reliable and punctual
• Flexible schedule

Nice To Haves

• Ansible
• C++
• webapp development (javascript, Django, etc)
• database NoSQL (redis)
• database SQL (postgres)
• familiarity with derivatives markets
• professional software development experience

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time support, working with traders and other developers to diagnose and solve technical issues
• Develop monitoring systems, tools, and processes to improve our system
• Formulate procedures to increase system stability and uptime
• Coordinate with developers and trading teams to deliver defect fixes
• Work with developers and trading teams to develop and deploy new features
