Foundation Software, a national developer of construction software and one of Northeast Ohio's top workplaces, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help create tools, processes, and systems that improve our overall operational reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of DevOps experience operating production CI/CD systems
  • Experience using strong interpersonal skills to communicate through incidents, postmortems, and design reviews.
  • Experience developing and organizing continuous integration pipelines.
  • Experience with source control management practices and tools such as Git
  • Experience collaborating with development and operations teams to debug live production issues.
  • Experience automating processes and runbooks using a modern scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python
  • Experience using a modern IDE such as Visual Studio, WebStorm, PyCharm, or Cursor.
  • Experience with setting up and managing Cloud resources in Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Operating and automating Windows-based workloads
  • Knowledge of well architected frameworks
  • Ability and willingness to pair and cross-train with teammates
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or comparable experience

Nice To Haves

  • Strong AWS experience highly preferred.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring IIS web servers and .NET applications.
  • Experience with Configuration as Code technologies and best practices
  • Experience building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Experience using the Agile methodology in software delivery.
  • Experience with modern site reliability tools that streamline logging, monitoring, and alerting.
  • Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration using Docker/Containerd and Kubernetes
  • Building internal applications and platforms using Python
  • Experience with event-driven systems

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with our development and IT teams to reduce deployment friction, shorten lead time, and increase the reliability of a diverse portfolio of applications.
  • Mature our DevOps practices using Configuration, Infrastructure, and Delivery as code.
  • Manage application deployment & configuration across multiple hosting environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in multiple environments.
  • Build automation pipelines and platforms from runbooks and delivery processes.
  • Administrate Cloud infrastructure and services.
