About The Position

DevOps Engineer The Opportunity: Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you’re eager to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client’s needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop container management sof tware to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges. As a platform DevOps Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll strengthen your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container sof tware to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform knowledge, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You’ll work with your team to recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll gain DevOps skills and experience while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good. Join us. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineer
  • 2+ years of experience maintaining hybrid infrastructure across on-prem and Azure environments
  • Experience with Jenkins pipelines, artifact repositories, CI / CD orchestration, IaC tools such as Terraform, and configuration management such as Ansible
  • Experience identifying, reviewing, and remediating security vulnerabilities, CVEs, and compliance findings
  • Experience with scripting languages, including Bash, PowerShell, or Python
  • Knowledge of Linux administration, troubleshooting, and automation
  • Knowledge of containerization concepts and modern deployment patterns
  • Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, certificates or PKI, VPN or IPSec, and routing
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating CI / CD workflows with Slack or chat-ops automations
  • Experience managing Windows Server, domain controllers, or Hyper-V
  • Experience contributing to platform documentation and runbooks
  • Experience optimizing developer workflows or automating manual promotion processes
  • Experience with security scanning tools such as Nessus, OpenSCAP, or Trivy
  • Knowledge of Azure Container Instances ( ACI ) or similar container hosting models
  • Knowledge of GitOps workflows
  • Knowledge of air-gapped or high-security architecture constraints
  • Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to perform root-cause analysis and improve reliability
  • Ability to translate technical detail for stakeholders
