About The Position

Thinkom Solutions is a leader in innovative, cutting-edge antenna technology, enabling global connectivity for commercial and military applications. We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our small and exciting team. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader with a passion for automating deployments for software (on-premise and cloud) and embedded systems. This role is critical to our success, and you will have a significant impact on our products and customers.

Requirements

  • MS or BS in Computer Science or related engineering field
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps roles, with a focus on embedded systems
  • Excellent Linux administration skills
  • Proficiency in AWS, Jenkins, JFrog, and Git actions.
  • Strong experience with Python
  • Proven ability to write and modify RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Trino, and Ansible
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively work with ThinKom people internally as well as working effectively with suppliers and customers
  • Ability to effectively present information in team meetings and design reviews, as needed
  • Ability to communicate calmly in a well thought out response, verbal and written
  • Must have substantial problem-solving abilities
  • Must be eligible to obtain and hold a US DoD Security Clearance in support of US Government contracts/subcontracts

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for our software and embedded systems
  • Automate the deployment, monitoring, and scaling of our infrastructure on AWS and on-premise environments
  • Collaborate with software and systems engineers to ensure that our applications are reliable, scalable, and secure
  • Write and modify RESTful APIs to support our automation and integration efforts
  • Manage and maintain our development and production environments, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other members of the team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments
