DevOps Engineer- Hybrid-Shoreview, MN About the Team The Integrated Products Engineering (IPE) team—also known as the Digital Thread team—builds the connective tissue that unites PTC’s engineering ecosystem. We develop and operate the Digital Product Traceability (DPT) service, enabling seamless integration between Windchill (WNC) and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems such as Codebeamer and PTC RVS . Our team also owns and evolves PTC Flow , an internal SaaS integration platform that orchestrates data exchange, workflow automation, and traceability across PTC’s product suite. We operate in a modern SaaS environment, solving complex integration challenges that drive end‑to-end engineering continuity for thousands of users. You’ll join a highly skilled group of DevOps and platform engineers responsible for designing, scaling, and optimizing the infrastructure and pipelines behind these mission-critical services. Role Overview As a DevOps Engineer on the Digital Thread / IPE team, you will work in an agile environment to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and operational services supporting PTC’s DPT and integration products. You will collaborate closely with developers, architects, and product teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions across both on-prem and cloud deployments. This role blends traditional DevOps work with platform engineering and system integration, providing the opportunity to influence the future of PTC’s Digital Thread strategy.

Requirements

  • Ability to commute to the Shoreview, MN office 2-3 days a week.
  • Hands-on tool development and automation experience with: GitLab, GitHub Python , Bash Docker , Kubernetes
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines at scale.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems and SaaS architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms ( Azure or AWS ).
  • Solid understanding of security and secure development practices: SAST, DAST, SCA Container image security Infrastructure and pipeline hardening
  • Experience with or interest in DevOps and Platform Engineering culture .

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating or supporting systems like WNC, Codebeamer, RVS , or similar ALM/PLM platforms.
  • Experience provisioning, operating, and securing highly available, on-premise or hybrid environments .
  • Previous exposure to SaaS production environments or running systems at scale.
  • Experience solving operational challenges in large, distributed systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build, enhance, and support DevOps tooling and operational infrastructure for on‑prem and cloud‑based environments.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting DPT, PTC Flow , and integrations between WNC, Codebeamer, and RVS .
  • Partner with development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high‑quality SaaS services.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, deployments, and monitoring across multiple environments.
  • Implement and uphold DevSecOps best practices, including secure pipeline design, container hardening, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Troubleshoot production issues in highly available, distributed systems.
  • Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to strengthen the Digital Thread platform.
  • Write and maintain clear, accurate documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.
  • Support cross‑functional teams by providing integration insights, tooling improvements, and operational expertise.
