We are looking for a motivated DevOps Co-op to join our engineering team and gain hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD pipelines. This role will allow you to work closely with experienced DevOps engineers, software developers, and IT teams to help improve the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
  • Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
  • Basic experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and CI/CD concepts.
  • Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing and automating cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.) to streamline software deployments.
  • Support containerization and orchestration efforts using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, logs, and security incidents.
  • Write scripts and automation tools in Python, Bash, or Terraform to improve workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and infrastructure reliability.
  • Participate in infrastructure as code (IaC) development and configuration management.
  • Document processes, configurations, and best practices for internal use.
