About The Position

About Us TruPorch Homes is a dynamic property management company operating short-term, mid-term, and long-term rental properties in the Atlanta, Georgia market. We pride ourselves on efficiency and run a fully self-hosted, modern technology stack. We are looking for a highly resourceful and tech-savvy DevOps & Automation Specialist to help manage our infrastructure and build systems that make our business run smoother. The Role Let’s be clear upfront: This isn’t a helpdesk role. You will not be resetting user passwords or troubleshooting employee laptops. Instead, you will be in the trenches of our infrastructure. You will manage production servers, keep our self-hosted applications running smoothly, and build powerful automation workflows to eliminate manual work. You don't need to be a senior software engineer; we heavily encourage the use of AI-assisted development (ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, etc.) to help you build out internal tools and write scripts.

Requirements

• Linux/Server Experience: Comfortable navigating the Linux command line and managing cloud servers/VPS.
• Docker Proficiency: Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting Docker containers (Docker Compose knowledge is a must).
• Automation Mindset: Experience with automation tools (n8n, Zapier, Make.com) and a strong desire to automate repetitive tasks.
• Resourcefulness: You are an expert Googler and problem-solver. If you don't know a technology, you know how to read the documentation and figure it out.
• AI Leverage: You are comfortable using AI tools to help write scripts, troubleshoot server errors, and learn new frameworks faster.

• Internal Operations: Chatwoot (Customer Comms), Snipe-IT (Asset Management), BookStack (Documentation)

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain our self-hosted environments across Hetzner Cloud and Proxmox servers.
• Container Management: Deploy, update, and troubleshoot production Docker containers.
• Workflow Automation: Design and build complex automation workflows (primarily using n8n) to connect our various tools and streamline business processes.
• Internal Tool Building: Leverage AI-assisted development tools to create, deploy, and maintain lightweight internal applications and scripts.
• System Ownership: Take pride in monitoring system health, managing backups, and ensuring high uptime for our core tools.
