About The Position

Batteries Plus is seeking a Device Repair Technician with a technical aptitude and strong communication skills. The role involves repairing cell phones, tablets, and other devices, as well as interacting with customers to understand device issues and ensure satisfactory repairs. The technician will undergo training to become certified and will be responsible for monitoring parts inventory and adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum H.S. diploma or equivalent
• Computer proficiency
• Demonstrated technical aptitude
• Able to quickly understand new processes and technologies
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to effectively manage and track multiple commitments; effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, both oral and written
• Strong customer service focus

Responsibilities

• Complete training to become certified technician
• Communicate with customer to understand what is wrong with device
• Complete intake form with information from customer and visual inspection of the device
• Follow detailed instructions per training for each repair
• Repair cell phones, tablets, and other devices
• Notify customer when repair is complete
• Complete exit form with customer to ensure satisfactory repair
• Monitor parts inventory and notify manager when parts are needed
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
