About The Position

Guided by the strategic plan and annual development plan, the Development & Stewardship Coordinator assists in stewarding donors and achieving fundraising goals by managing the donor database and gift acknowledgement process. This position ensures the Development team has timely, accurate, and useful donor information and reports, and provides general administrative support for the Chief Development Officer and Development team. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (encouraged but not required).
  • At least two years’ of experience working with a CRM or database system.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion while effectively prioritizing work, meeting deadlines, and working independently.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, high-functioning team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse individuals and build positive relationships.
  • Knowledge of agency vision, mission, and services.
  • Ability to work with high accuracy and maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs and time pressures.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgement.

Responsibilities

  • Process all contributions; maintain written procedures for database management.
  • Acknowledge donor contributions in accordance with Development department standards and policy; maintain donor records for the organization.
  • Using Raiser’s Edge, generate lists, implement prospect research and management, create reports, manage database clean up and maintenance.
  • Support Development Team and Agency as needed; examples include, but are not limited to, documenting reservations for events, scheduling meetings, setting reminders for donor pledges, interacting with donors and connecting them to the most appropriate Team member and overseeing the team calendar.
  • Proactively document progress to goal for annual and comprehensive campaign dashboards.
  • Provide support for fundraising and stewardship events including, but are not limited to, managing volunteers at our Rocket Ball Gala.
  • Lead stewardship efforts for Out Front Giving Club, our monthly donor program and for our Wellness Committee.
  • Process pledge reminders, send out tax credit paperwork, expense reports, and related documents as needed.
  • In collaboration with Finance Team, integrate systems and reconcile donations.
  • Track and manage documentation for tax credit projects. Maintain records and upload applications to Missouri Department of Economic Development.
  • Ensure the accurate completion of tasks such as data entry, report generation, donor letters, and documentation.
