About The Position

We are currently hiring a Development Specialist to join the Catalpa Foundation team. We are looking for compassionate, mission-driven professional to join our team. The Development Specialist will be working with the Catalpa Foundation. The Catalpa Foundation was established to ensure that every child in our community has access to the mental health care they need to thrive. We raise the necessary funds to empower Catalpa Health to provide life-changing mental health services to children and families in the Greater Fox Valley Region. Respond to donor inquiries with accurate and timely information; secure donor gifts, and provide donors with relevant materials. Oversee and manage the fundraising database and tracking system. Develop donor communications, including but not limited to newsletters and donor acknowledgment letters. Organize and coordinate the activities of volunteers and committees/boards engaged in fundraising activities, as appropriate. Support project management for fundraising events.

Requirements

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable ethical codes and standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in non-profit management or related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience with grant writing.
  • Experience with donor database management Raisers Edge software.
