About The Position

Outreach is a Christian community service organization providing counseling, case management, youth development, older adult service, and community development. For 50 years, Outreach has changed the lives of thousands of individuals, children, youth, and families in DuPage County, IL, and we are seeking to hire a diverse staff of highly competent professional employees to pursue Outreach’s mission to restore hope and provide opportunities for people to become all that God intends them to be. Outreach is hiring a Full-time Development Officer for the Women’s Network at Outreach Central Office in Carol Stream to advance the organization’s fundraising goals through strategic donor engagement, relationship management, and event leadership. This position focuses on cultivating and stewarding major and mid-level donors, supporting women-led philanthropic initiatives, and collaborating across teams to strengthen overall resource development efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1-2 years of experience in resource development, including progressive expertise in individual giving.
• Previous board facilitation or support experience, and previous event planning and implementation experience.
• Demonstrated record of successfully closing personal solicitations and working successfully with boards and committees on peer-to-peer solicitation strategy and implementation.
• Demonstrated and proven success in generating revenue from individuals, managing campaigns, both the strategic and implementation aspects, while being a confident and effective solicitor.
• Energetic, self-starter, and dynamic fundraiser.
• Strong project management ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor database experience.
• This position requires some off-site work, based in Illinois.
• A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and availability for air travel are required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a visible and passionate ambassador for Women’s Network fundraising efforts, representing the organization both internally and externally.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major and mid-level donors to support organizational funding priorities.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with donors to deepen engagement, increase retention, and grow giving over time.
• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Women’s Network Board, including overseeing fundraising goals and initiatives.
• Lead major and mid-level donor strategies for key fundraising events, including the Women’s Luncheon and year-end campaigns.
• Develop and strengthen corporate partnerships to expand sponsorship and engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Resource Development Team to support donor cultivation efforts across events and campaigns.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential donor data entry in alignment with organizational data standards and reporting needs.
• Utilize data management best practices to maintain data integrity and support effective donor tracking and analysis.
• Participate in organizational meetings, events, and continuous improvement efforts to support overall agency effectiveness.
