POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Associate Director of Development Operations, the Development Manager provides hands-on operational and administrative support to Erikson’s development team, with a primary focus on gift processing, donor records, and day-to-day development operations. This role supports donor stewardship activities and internal systems to ensure accurate tracking, timely acknowledgments, and smooth internal workflows. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: CORE FUNCTION 1: Gift Management & Stewardship Process and record all charitable gifts in a timely manner and in accordance with organizational policies and IRS regulations Prepare and send timely and personalized gift acknowledgments Maintain accurate donor records and tracking systems with meticulous attention to data quality Support compliance with gift acceptance policies and charitable giving regulations CORE FUNCTION 2: Operations & Administration Coordinate with the business office to support gift deposits, reconciliation, and routine reporting Provide administrative support, including meeting scheduling, calendar management, and correspondence for the Executive Director of Development Utilize Raiser's Edge and other technology platforms effectively for database management, query building, and reporting Assist with budget tracking and routine financial reports for the development team Generate reports for leadership on fundraising metrics and donor engagement Attend and assist with all events as determined by supervisor CORE FUNCTION 3: Data Analysis & Reporting Prepare donor lists, mailings, and appeal segmentations under the direction of development leadership Compile and summarize Annual Fund data for internal use and leadership review Maintain clean and accurate data to support fundraising analysis and reporting Run routine queries and reports in Raiser's Edge to support development activities PREFERRED HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS Hybrid setting Standard business hours with occasional flexibility needed for peak giving seasons and special events Office environment with standard computer work and occasional light filing Erikson is open to individual candidates from all backgrounds and experiences.
