About The Position

Habitat for Humanity of Omaha is seeking a Development Event Coordinator to support and execute fundraising events, internal celebrations, and community engagement initiatives. This role focuses on event logistics, committee coordination, volunteer management, donor relations, and ensuring exceptional experiences for attendees and partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to grow into a leadership role within event management. This role will report to the Development officer of Corporate Giving.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience in event planning, fundraising, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or related field), or equivalent experience.
  • Organization & execution: Highly detail-oriented with strong project management skills.
  • Communication: Clear, professional communicator with volunteers, vendors, and partners.
  • Collaboration: Comfortable working across teams and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Willing to pitch in, problem-solve, and flex as events evolve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with social media and event technology tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license.
