The City is currently recruiting for a Development Engineering Manager position to manage the engineering services for private development activity in the City's Community Development Department. Under general supervision of the Community Development Director, the Development Engineering Manager plans, organizes, oversees, coordinates, and manages the staff and operations of the Development Engineering division of the Community Development Department. This including the planning, permitting, review, inspection, and/or acceptance of private land development projects; participates in the development of policies and strategies for division operations; manages the effective use of division resources to improve organizational productivity and customer service; provides complex and responsible support to the management in areas of expertise; and performs related duties as assigned. The position is responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures for the review, approval and inspection of private land development within Folsom. In addition, the manager position is responsible for budget administration and reporting for the division as well as coordination of key programs/projects with other City divisions and departments and external agencies. The position generally serves as an advisor and contributor to executive management on policies, procedures, and major City initiatives. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience reviewing development engineering plans on private property and overseeing implementation of site improvements consistent with the Subdivision Map Act, approved plans, and conditions.
