About The Position

Join our team at Westmoreland Community Action and apply your marketing skills to make Westmoreland County a better tomorrow! As Development Coordinator, you will promote our programs and initiatives to the public and potential clients. You will develop and implement marketing strategies to raise awareness of our services, engage stakeholders, and foster collaboration with community partners. You will accomplish this by: Creating compelling and engaging content for various marketing channels, including social media, website, email newsletters, and printed materials; Implementing social media campaigns to increase followers, engagement, and brand awareness on platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn; Coordinating and facilitating Agency representation and public outreach events; Producing marketing pieces, assisting our Support Social Impact staff to tell compelling stories that help to support our clients and educate the public; Providing logistical support to and assisting out fundraising staff by helping to track donor activity, processing records, appeal and thank you letters etc. and planning the Agency fundraising and donor recognition events; and Support our staff cultivating volunteer pipelines for Agency initiatives. Westmoreland Community Action is a non-profit organization that works to connect individuals and families to opportunities and resources throughout the community to improve their quality of life and help to reduce poverty in the community. This is accomplished through housing, counseling, support, education, intervention, collaborations, partnerships, information, referrals, and networking.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma minimum, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a marketing professional, preferably in a human service setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messaging.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management tools, email marketing software, and analytics tools.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Must be able to provide or successfully obtain child abuse, state police, fingerprint-based criminal background, and sex offender registry clearances.
  • Valid driver's license required and must carry $15,000/$30,000 bodily liability car insurance.
