About The Position

The Development Coordinator oversees fundraising events and volunteer coordination for the Development department, enabling the Development and Communications Director (DCD) to focus on major gift cultivation and corporate partnerships. This position leads all fundraising events from planning through execution, builds and maintains the organization's volunteer program, and provides support for annual fund campaigns and donor stewardship activities. The Development Coordinator supervises the Fundraising Assistant and ensures operational excellence across event logistics and volunteer engagement. The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional organizational and leadership skills, event management expertise, and the ability to recruit, train, and retain volunteers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, or related field required
  • Three or more years of progressive management experience in nonprofits, community health centers, or equivalent sector
  • Three or more years of experience with large-scale event planning and execution.
  • Three or more years of experience in volunteer coordinating.
  • Advanced proficiency with donor database systems, preferably Bloomerang or Raiser's Edge
  • Demonstrated success in designing and implementing grants or fundraising campaigns
  • Strong analytics skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience with donor stewardship and relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to craft compelling fundraising messages
  • Strategic thinking capabilities with proven ability to develop and execute plans
  • Experience in budget management and financial projections
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive donor information
