About The Position

The Development Coordinator is a dynamic role that helps power our fundraising and grant efforts. You’ll work closely with our Grant Administrator and Development team to keep grants on track, data organized, and fundraising projects moving forward. About 40–60% of your time will focus on grant administration and reporting. The rest of your time will be spent supporting Development projects, helping with events, organizing materials, coordinating details, and making sure the right people have the right information at the right time. This role is perfect for someone who loves juggling projects, is curious about data and storytelling, enjoys collaborating across teams, and wants their work to directly support survivors and the staff who serve them.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of database management experience
  • An understanding of, and agreement with, YWCA Utah’s mission, values and philosophy regarding the elimination of racism, and empowerment of women.
  • Ability to work scheduled hours on a regular basis; some weekends and evenings are required.
  • Proficiency with general office duties, computer systems, and technology.
  • Skilled in establishing effective working relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate and invite collaboration.
  • Able to demonstrate skills in effective communication, conflict resolution, and problem solving.
  • Must be able to pass Department of Health and Human Services criminal background check, meet I-9 requirements, and, if driving agency vehicles, have a valid Utah driver’s license, automobile insurance and motor vehicle record.

  • Judgement and Decision Making: Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement and problem-solving techniques in the decision-making process.
  • Technology/Tools: Ability to use various computer systems and applications including proficiency in online and electronic communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Help manage grants from proposal through reporting, including deadline tracking, compliance tasks, and budget coordination.
  • Pull and organize data for grant reports, key results, marketing, and strategic planning.
  • Support staff training and use of our case management database; create clear, helpful training materials
  • Stay connected with our database vendor and help improve how we use data across the organization.
  • Support Development projects with administrative coordination and project management.
  • Assist with planning and supporting fundraising and community events.
  • Organize, inventory, and maintain, fundraising, and marketing materials.
  • Help share information across the organization related to volunteers, events, and Development efforts.
  • Participate in our Mission & Movement Workgroup, helping advance our mission.
