About The Position

The Development Coordinator works closely with the President/CEO and is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that meets the goals of TM Camping (and Aspire Network in the future). As a key leader in Development, the DC ensures and develops a comprehensive program that incorporates best practices across all levels of giving and constituent engagement.

Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree, CFRE, or equivalent experience in donor relations
  • Ideally, 5-10+ years of relevant experience, with 1-2 years of management preferred
  • Evidence of strong writing skills and experience in raising five and six-figure gifts
  • Demonstration of excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of software applications, including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Abilities sufficient to carry out the essential functions of the job, to include leaning, bending over, stooping, reaching, pulling, pushing, squatting, lifting, carrying, holding, and moving objects
  • Able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift, hold, and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation for mountain conditions (on occasion, as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Develop fundraising strategies and operational plans
  • Identify fundraising priorities and create compelling funding opportunities
  • Acquire, retain, and upgrade annual and mid-level donors
  • Manage portfolio of prospects and coordinate prospect research
  • Strategic fundraising vision, developed in partnership with TM Camping leadership (and Aspire)
  • Assist in event planning and preparation of materials for fundraising efforts
  • Coordinates and holds planned giving discussions with donors
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of Aspire and TM Camping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
