The Development Associate supports the clerical and administrative program functions of Development and Marketing Departments. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, this position is tasked with supporting the administrative functions of the development/marketing team and ensuring that donor and campaign project tasks are completed effectively, while demonstrating optimal customer service for donors and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required, particularly Word, Excel, and Teams

Nice To Haves

  • At least three (3) years' work experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting a fund-raising department or in a non-profit setting strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license preferred (NJ or PA only)

Responsibilities

  • Tracking, logging, and managing donations coming into the office
  • Maintaining the donor database
  • Generate reports to assist with funder requirements and donor outreach
  • Assisting the team with mailings, campaigns, and appeals
  • Participate in and support all special events (both planning and set up)
  • Organizing and scheduling appointments
  • Submit and reconcile expense reports and payment requests as needed
  • Maintain contact lists for internal and external stakeholders, vendors, and community contacts
  • Telephone support as needed for donors and internal/external stakeholders
  • Liaise with other Norwescap personnel as necessary in a cooperative and collegial manner to ensure cooperation between programs and across the agency
