About The Position

NONPROFIT DEVELOPMENT AND FUNDRAISING INTERN Part-time – Spring 2026 (Feb - May, 2026) Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC) is seeking a current college student, graduate student, or recent college graduate who is interested in serving as an intern and providing a wide range of database, research, administrative, and general support to SARRC’s Development Team for the 2026 Spring Semester. In return, SARRC will provide an opportunity for the intern to gain experience in and familiarity with areas such as fundraising, community outreach, special events, and the day-to-day operations of a nonprofit organization. Your Role at SARRC Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Requirements

  • Currently seeking a current college student, current graduate student, or recent college graduate with a degree in or pursuing a degree in Non-profit Management, Communications, Marketing, or Business
  • Desire to learn more about fundraising and philanthropy operations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fundraising databases is a plus but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with coordination of Community Breakfast administrative needs
  • Assist with research on potential corporate, foundation, and individual donors
  • Assist Development team with stewardship activities
  • Maintain donor files and other development materials
  • Assist the development staff in entering data and support items into Raiser’s Edge NXT cloud-based database
  • Assist with mailings, filing, and special projects as needed
  • Attend department staff meetings (Wednesdays 10:30 a.m. – Noon)
