About The Position

Versant’s Software Engineering team provides core services to our business, underpinning our strategy and execution of linear & digital distribution of content, platforms, and data. As a Developer for Workplace Integrations, you will build and implement feature rich tools and services that empower our employees in their day-to-day experiences at Versant. Utilizing automations and AI-driven engagement experiences throughout our employee experiences, this role will focus on connecting collaboration, communications, security and workplace technologies through cohesive frameworks and data services. You will coordinate closely with our leadership team to understand real employee workflows and friction points in order to design & deliver simple, working integrations that improve employee experience. Examples include wiring notifications into collaboration tools, automating workflows across workplace systems, or bridging physical systems with digital platforms. This role is hands-on and execution focus, developing backend services and client integrations to supplement our workplace applications and provide an enriched experience for our teams at Versant. Working through iterative development practices, from prototyping to production deployments, you will have opportunity to ship workplace solutions quickly and reliably.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience building and delivering software solutions, ideally in environments focused on user workflows or internal tools.
  • Experience working in Agile development practices, and a strong understanding of SDLC & development best practices.
  • Strong full-stack development skills: Backend & integration development in Node with TypeScript and JavaScript Client frameworks such as Vue.js, React, and Angular Productivity & communication tools like Slack
  • Experience designing and implementing API-first integrations, webhooks, and event-driven workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools & automations, such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
  • Background in cloud based environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Understanding of application architecture fundamentals, especially serverless & event-driven systems.
  • Strong understanding of security practices, and familiarity with authorization flows & user governance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop API-first workflow integrations for workplace applications & AI tooling, providing search capabilities, production workflows, and automations.
  • Provide client interfaces and frameworks to create dashboards, visualizations, and supplemental tools to reduce process complexity.
  • Implement service integrations for CI/CD & automation, providing status and messaging across internal platforms for visibility and metrics gathering.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and Engineering leadership to define actionable development tasks from user requirements.
