Working as a member of RTA, the candidate will design, code and support the MS Real-Time Activity (RTA) application. RTA is a Web/Mainframe environment consisting of large databases, stored procedures, and application web pages. The system is the main data source for major applications within the firm, like the 3D FA Desktop applications and the client-facing web portal. The right candidate will be required to code, conduct code reviews, test software as needed, along with participating in application architecture and design and other phases of the SDLC. The candidate may also be called on to provide technical, architectural and design guidance to other application development teams within Technology organization. The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable and excellent team player. The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team along with NY, GA, CA team members; The candidate may be assigned to more than one role or project at a time. The candidate may be required to take ownership of critical components of the RTA application and ensure delivery of the same. The candidate must have strong technical skills and a good understanding of Mainframe technologies and Distributed technologies. He or she should have at least 7+ years of application development experience, preferably in Financial Services or Wealth Management. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player committed to delivering on time and should be able to work under supervision. Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science/Engineering
  • At least 7 years' experience developing Mainframe/Distributed technologies related to batch and online processing
  • Good ability to interpret business requirements and create technical design documents and produce appropriate architecture and designs
  • 7 years of professional experience in Mainframe/Distributed technologies related to batch and online processing
  • Good knowledge and demonstrable hands-on experience in DB2/relational databases
  • Good knowledge and demonstrable hands-on experience in COBOL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ, Stored procedures
  • Ability to follow project plans and task schedules
  • Ability to produce high-quality software design, code and testing abilities
  • Excellent communication skills in English language are essential, both written and oral
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate or contribute thought leadership are required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working within a Global (time zone separated) team highly desirable
  • Experience in MQ / Kafka
  • Experience in Python, Java, Angular JS
  • Experience in developing Mainframe/Distributed APIs for online data access
  • Experience in developing webservices Framework
  • Experience in Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets or Retail Brokerage.
