As a Cloud Developer Relations Engineer, you stand at the intersection of a technology movement shaping our world - between the people who build it and the customers who use it. Developer Relations Engineers are the engineering wing of Developer Relations. We ensure that Google Cloud and related open source projects like Kubernetes, Beam and TensorFlow are amazing for developers. As "customer zero" we're the first developers to use upcoming services and ensure they meet customer's needs. We provide feedback on API design, platform consistency and functionality. We write sample code and work with our technical writing teams to produce developer documentation, quickstarts and tutorials. We release open source code, participate in developer forums and help troubleshoot developer problems. The Cloud Platform Evaluations Team (CPET) aims to drive Google Cloud adoption by identifying and advocating improvements to its developer experience. We evaluate Google Cloud Platform (GCP) compared to industry performers; coordinate and drive findings from those evaluations; attend industry events; and work to promote areas where GCP excels. CPET is part of a larger Developer Source and Signal organization. As a Developer Relations Engineer on this team, you will drive internal engaged research, and represent the developer as you work to improve GCP's developer experience.
