Requirements

• Must be willing and able to conduct regular performance reviews for employees, discussing both positive feedback and opportunities for improvement.
• Must be organized and able to manage time effectively.
• Fluent with MS Excel to assist with reporting, scheduling and analyzing group performance and other metrics.
• Must be willing and able to schedule work effectively for the team to meet customer needs and project schedules.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with NMBS programs/software preferred
• Familiarity with SJI, SDI, OSHA and NMBS standards preferred
• Experience in the steel joist industry preferred
• Significant scheduling experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the performance of the Detailing/Checking teams.
• Responsible for ensuring the teams receive appropriate training and performance feedback.
• Maintain, develop, and communicate detailing standards and practices to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Communicate regularly with employees, customers, Engineering Manager and other departments to ensure drawing schedules and required shop volumes are met.
• Ensure SJI, SDI, OSHA and NMBS standards are followed.
