About The Position

Desperados is an exciting new addition to the vibrant culinary scene of the Distillery District in Lexington, KY. Our mission is to deliver authentic and flavorful street tacos using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, all served in a lively and inviting atmosphere. We're committed to providing exceptional dining experiences that keep our customers coming back for more. We are seeking a talented and passionate person to join our kitchen team at Desperados. As an Expo/Cashier/Busser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our delicious street tacos while helping to maintain a fast-paced and efficient kitchen operation

Requirements

Previous experience in a customer service or cashier role is preferred, but not required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Enthusiasm for food and hospitality, with a genuine passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our guests.
Basic math skills and proficiency with cash handling.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Greet customers as they enter the restaurant and assist them with their orders.
Accurately ring up orders and process payments using our POS system.
Provide friendly and attentive service to customers, addressing any inquiries they might have about our menu.
Keep the cashier station and surrounding areas clean and well-organized.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations during busy periods.
Uphold company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests' tables promptly and accurately, ensuring dishes are presented beautifully and per our quality standards.
Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to prioritize orders and coordinate timing for optimal guest satisfaction.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the restaurant, including bussing tables and resetting them for new guests.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and special events.
Provide friendly and attentive service to guests, addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times, adhering to health codes and regulations.
