About The Position

The Desktop Support Analyst position is a contract role based in Midland, Texas, focused on ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems within the IT department. The analyst will provide timely and effective support to users, manage user accounts, and maintain accurate records, acting as a key resource for troubleshooting and resolving IT-related issues.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Android Development, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Android systems.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Technologies, including the ability to manage, improve, and troubleshoot network systems.
  • Expertise in Citrix Technologies, with the capability to optimize and maintain virtualization systems.
  • Knowledge of Computer Hardware, including the ability to diagnose and fix hardware issues.
  • Experience with Dell Technologies, with the proficiency to implement and manage Dell software and hardware solutions.
  • Understanding of Active Directory, with the skill to manage and maintain user accounts, groups, and access rights.
  • Proficiency in handling Apple Devices, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to iOS systems.
  • Knowledge of Backup Technologies, including the ability to implement and manage data backup and recovery processes.
  • Expertise in Configuration Management, with the ability to ensure system settings are consistent and optimized across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware efficiently.
  • Work closely with a Managed Service Provider, acting as an escalation point to ensure the best service levels for end users.
  • Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Set up and manage new user accounts across various systems, ensuring secure and efficient access.
  • Document all help desk requests and resolutions accurately using the ticketing system.
  • Implement diagnostic programs to identify and resolve problems.
  • Install computer peripherals for users, enhancing their productivity.
  • Engage with customers to confirm issue resolution, ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Oversee licensing utilization and hardware inventory, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Evaluate pending software updates before implementation to prevent potential issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest IT trends and continuously enhance technical skills.
  • Assist in technology rollouts/upgrades, ensuring a seamless transition for users.
  • Manage and maintain hardware and software assets, including inventory, software licenses, and hardware configurations.
  • Adhere to security policies and procedures and assist in managing security incidents.
  • Update and maintain IT Support-related documentation & Knowledge Base.
  • Travel to other facilities as required by the business, ensuring consistent IT support across locations.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned, demonstrating versatility and commitment.
