About The Position

This position will have a primary work location of Punxsutawney Area Hospital with occasional travel to IRMC. In this role, you will be responsible for the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of any desktop device including hardware, software, and operating systems. You will also be responsible for installing or overseeing the installation of all software housed on any desktop device. Additionally, you will monitor our desktop devices, collect and analyze usage statistics, and produce reports reflecting the usage and stability of our desktop devices. Researching, purchasing, and implementing software/hardware to produce reports will also be part of your responsibilities. You will research, evaluate, and recommend desktop hardware and software, maintain all necessary desktop security, and support all appropriate user access and security at the desktop level. Building and maintaining updated desktop procedure documentation for use by all IS support personnel is essential. You will need to maintain skills at an adequate level to provide support for other technical areas including OS/server and network technicians. The role requires the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in determining desktop device-related problems while utilizing excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Requirements

  • EDUCATION: associate degree in electronics, computer science, or a related computer degree/equivalent work experience.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop devices.
  • 4 years experience in a desktop device support position.
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Valid PA driver's license.

Responsibilities
