A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Grade: Technical 405 Pay Range: $87,200.00 - $130,800.00 Job Description Job Profile Summary Architect, configure, and manage WGU's enterprise endpoint systems and infrastructure, primarily utilizing the MDM capabilities provided by Microsoft Intune and JAMF. Oversee Autopilot provisioning, configuration, and deployment profiles. Administer remote monitoring and management of end-user devices via ControlUp. Lead patching and upgrade strategies for Windows, macOS, and third-party apps using Intune, JAMF, ControlUp, and Alectrona. Manage application lifecycle, packaging, and deployment via Company Portal and Self-Service. Maintain support documentation and contribute to Azure Virtual Desktop infrastructure using Nerdio. Develop automation and remediation scripts using PowerShell, Zsh, and Bash. Collaborate with Service Desk, Site Support, and Security teams to resolve issues, enhance security baselines and resolve security vulnerabilities. Act as a team leader, driving cross-functional initiatives and serving as a key resource across the organization. Researches, develops, and deploys new technology and capabilities that benefit and support University goals. -Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Advanced knowledge of endpoint systems administration and management via MDM and RMM tools.
  • Understanding of endpoint administration concepts such as MAM, DLP, configuration profiles, and security baselines such as NIST or CIS.
  • Ability to create and deploy scripts to automate endpoint management and resolve security vulnerabilities at scale.
  • Working knowledge of core Azure cloud concepts, including but not limited to Entra ID, compute, storage, and networking.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Networking concepts and protocols.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to organize and coordinate.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare and conduct management briefs with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Great interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Ability to dissect complex issues and provide simple solutions based on findings.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Desire to stay current on technology, while exercising appropriate caution and diligence in implementation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • 5 years of experience performing desktop support and Windows/Mac administration
  • 5 years of experience performing desktop architecture work
  • Current certification for relevant technologies used within the Desktop Architecture team
  • Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.
